My kids probably get tired of hearing me rant and rave about certain topics, such as:
- Don’t be lazy, be productive
- Be resourceful
- Be respectful
- Don’t wait for others to solve your problems for you
- Understand the difference between rules and preferences
Depending on the dinner discussion, one or more of these topics may weasel its way into the conversation. I can feel my kids’ eye rolls, even if I cannot see them. I recycle content…
…just like the media and politicians do! Such as:
- Alternate facts
- Immigration and “The Wall”
- Sanctuary cities
- Assassination – tell me this isn’t happening
I do not mind recycled material, if it is relevant and dealing with real issues, such as President Trump’s campaign promises, position reversals, or legitimate concerns from Democrats and Republicans alike. It gets kind of silly when the topic is only meant to enrage the reader.
I will likely recycle some content here. I hope it is not much, and when I do, I hope it is important and relevant. I will often be wrong. How often? Time will tell.
